Training

By the Business, for the Business
We know that a fundamental element in any project is the training and it is easy to slip into the trap of providing training on the technology rather than training on the business procedures that the technology supports.
We aim to avoid training too many “cooks” and we also try to make sure that the administrators are business people rather than IT to ensure that the project continues to be business lead rather than IT lead.
Typically, we train all our clients at their location with two of their IT team to be technical administrators/support and at least two from the business to be business administrators and maintain control of the project for the business going forward.
Designed with you, for you
We believe the best people to train your people are your people and we will engage the local trainers for each local area and help them create context and role specific training.
How you deliver and back the training up depends on both the project and the degree of business change, but we have experience working with industry standard applications such as Camtasia to provide video and CBT programmes as well as providing specific how-to’s and FAQ documents to store on your intranet or even within the systems themselves.
Typical training
Before we can work together to create bespoke training programmes for your business, your trainers must first learn the basic functional elements of any systems and we typically break this down into the following courses:
- User
- Power User
- Report Writer
- Administrator
- Importer
- Developer
Inevitably there is only so much that someone can take in during training and ongoing training sessions, Q&As and other bite-size training is also recommended. We also recommend taking out a support contract with us to call upon our knowledge with everything from technical issues to user knowledge and of course ongoing consultancy and advice.
